daydreaming of the perfect home

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

Lately we have been talking a lot about our ideal life… our ideal home, our ideal jobs, where we eventually want to settle down forever. Last night we decided the ideal life was living on a really small farm (a few chickens, a goat and some llamas) close to the beach where we work together on creative fun projects for a living, share the responsibilites of taking care of our kids equally and surf every weekend! Sounds pretty fantastic right?! It also sounds pretty far from the lives we lead right now… and to that we say – “SO WHAT!” Let’s make it happen! So here’s to putting our heads down and working hard so that someday we can actually have that life! What’s your ideal life? Where would you live? What would your job be? I would love to know!

So, you're gonna move to Ramona?

My ideal life would be living in San Diego in a modest house with a fenced in yard with lots of grass. I'd be a stay at home mom and Tony would work on the field at Petco Park. I'd be close to all of you guys so Riley (and any future kids) could have play dates with cousins! I'd had a small side business (no clue doing what) just to bring in a little extra income for fun stuff and have a savings. I just want a simple life close to all you guys!!

That's basically the same idea we have for an ideal life. Workin on it!

My ideal life includes working and traveling with my wonderful husband. We would live right outside of London but travel often to Tuscany and to our hometown of Portland, Oregon. We would write, paint, take photographs, meet talented people and have them over for delicious meals!

Ha, that's basically our ideal life as well. Except, we'd surf every morning, no lama but bees, making goat cheese and honey. Also, living close enough to a bigger city with a cultural calendar and good restaurants to enjoy the odd dinner and a movie night, or drinks at a nice jazz bar…

Hi Jane. :) Love these pics. You have great taste. One thing: get some Alpacas. Lllamas are not very nice and are sort of useless….Alpaca fur can be sold and they are very sweet, docile animals.
    xo,
